Inspection Report on Abbeyfield Scotland Ltd

The Scottish Housing Regulator published its inspection report on Abbeyfield Scotland Ltd on 2^nd March 2012. The purpose of the inspection was to provide an independent external assessment on the effectiveness of its housing services and make recommendations to help improvement.

Lesley Kerr, Acting Head of Inspection at the Scottish Housing Regulator, said:

“We found that the Association has a good awareness of the risks and challenges it faces and it is making good early progress in delivering a major organisational review. The new Chief Executive and Board has acted quickly to introduce some initial improvements and is revising its business plan to reflect new objectives and organisational priorities.”

We will have a continuing regulatory engagement with the Association.

James G Craigie, Chair of Abbeyfield Scotland Ltd added: “We are engaged in nothing less than a complete transformation of the business to address a unique set of challenges. Our new Business Plan will outline the Board’s vision and the changes we’ll make to both address these findings and take Abbeyfield Scotland Ltd forward”.
