Residents and Staff at Parklea, Lockerbie with the coveted EAC Gold Award

A lovely group photo of the residents, volunteers and staff at Parklea, Lockerbie was taken recently in recognition of the EAC Gold Award which they won.

Liz Guthrie, house supervisor, said “This is a great achievement for us all and everyone is extremely proud and elated to have won this award.  My personal thanks to everyone at the house who played their part in our success.”

Niall Patterson, CEO of Abbeyfield Scotland, added “We are thrilled to have won this award.  We already know how dedicated and hard working our staff teams across the country are.  So, for our service in Lockerbie to win a gold award in the EAC National Housing for Older People Awards  is an extra boost to the team and residents.  These awards are highly prized since they come from those who know best, the older people who live at the homes.  Finalists were nominated by over 4,000 residents from 360 later life housing developments across the UK, therefore, for Abbeyfield’s Lockerbie house to win this award is a real honour for staff and residents.”
