I grew up in Aberdeen. I didn’t like school too much because I couldn’t wait to start an apprenticeship as a joiner. I was a good craftsman and took great pride in my work. During the war I served in the army as a wireless operator mostly at the front line.
I like the homely atmosphere at Abbeyfield. We all get to chat at mealtimes – that’s my favourite time. The location is great too; it’s so close to shops and the town centre.
