I was brought up by my grandparents in Greenock. I didn’t particularly enjoy school but I went to college and studied shorthand and bookkeeping. I was chief cleric for over ten years.
During the war our house was bombed and the front blew off. It was a very hard time.
My husband Douglas and I used to be very well known as Flo and Do. We did over 360 concerts all over the country singing and dancing. As we got older Douglas had to go into nursing care and I had been advised not to return home. I had heard of Abbeyfield and saw an advert saying there were vacancies.
I am very happy here. I enjoy my room and view. I have no worries about food shopping or utility bills, it’s like a five star hotel!
